Esta es una de las muchas definiciones que nos podemos encontrar acerca del término "Metrosexual", definición muy reciente que más o menos refleja a buena parte de la sociedad viril de la actualidad.
A continuación os colgamos un reportaje sobre la Metrosexualidad, y nos gustaría saber vuestra opición acerca de ella. Aspectos como si creeis que aparece como puro negocio o verdadera necesidad de los hombres, y revivir de cierto modo de nuevo el interesante debate al que pudimos asistir en clase acerca de este tema.

La veritat que sí que cada volta es veuen més metrosexuals pel carrer, en això com diu el vídeo té molt a vore els mitjans de comunicació, però en la meu opinió crec que en aquest aspecte té molt a vore que aparentant físicament molt més del que són, vuiguen tapar alguns defectes seus que no els agradaria que es donaren a conéixer.A part d'això, crec que queda un poc ridícul.
En primer lugar felicitarlos por la sencillez del video y al mismo tiempo la claridad con la que define y comenta la metrosexualidad, tocado con el toque de humor al principio y al final del video de la música de fondo.
En primer lugar definiré de forma escueta la palabra: Un metrosexual es un hombre que siente una gran preocupación por su imagen y se caracteriza por gastar en cosméticos y ropa bastante más que la media.

Mark Simpson inventó este nombre para definir algo que ha existido durante mucho tiempo pero que ahora se está haciendo más común. Hombres que no tienen vergüenza en pintarse las uñas, pintar su pelo, usar cremas para la cara o maquillarse, ni vestirse usando ropa de colores que han sido tradicionalmente femeninas.
A pesar de que esto ha existido siempre, ahora parece que muchos hombres se sienten "liberados" de la imagen de "macho" que ha caracterizado al varón por siglos. Este nuevo varón posiblemente está en contacto con su parte femenina sin miedo en exteriorizarlo, claro esta no por esto dejan de ser hombres.
Ahora bien hay que saber donde esta la línea que marca la metrosexualidad y la persona a la que le gusta ir arreglada, esto es algo muy subjetivo para muchos. Y la sociedad nos esta imponiendo como normal el mayor cuidado del cuerpo por parte del hombre ya que han visto un mercado enorme por explotar y que esta alcanzando unos beneficios muy altos, y los cuales tienden a aumentar.

Buenos días compañeros, creo que todos pensaremos lo mismo, después de ver los temas que estamos viendo en clase, el trato que estamos haciendo de los mismos, y aparte los comentarios que dejamos, o que almenos he dejado yo en las cuestiones del blog “oficial” de la asignatura. Creo que estaremos de acuerdo en que esto de la metrosexualidad es totalmente cierto pero que a mi parecer almenos es un invento de la sociedad, para seguir aumentando el consumismo, aunque bien cierto es que muchos hombres se sienten bien, les va mejor, o muy bien, con el aspecto que consiguen lo cual repercute en estados de ánimo, trabajos, etc. Pero principalmente pienso que sigue siendo “un engaño” de la sociedad consumista.
A mi me parece bien, lo de la metrosexualidad, pero creo que hay metrosexulaes y metrosexulaes. Los hay con más dinero “auténticos metrosexulaes” con ropa de marcas MUY caras, con visitas casi diarias a centros de belleza y estética, con su sesión de depilación, rallos uva, etc.
Por otra parte están los que tienen menos dinero, y por lo tanto llevan ropa menos cara, de marcas menos fashion, pero igualmente cuidada hasta el último detalle, combinando como debe ser, la depilación es más casera, hacen sesiones de rallos uva aunque no es tan seguido como los metrosexulaes con dinero, etc.
Pienso que la mayoría de estos hombres han hecho de este fenómeno una forma de vida, y muchos de ellos es porque no se sienten bien con su cuerpo, algún defectillo que tienen, etc. Por ellos, ¿la solución es empezar a ponerse potingues en la cara, depilarse, gastar y gastar en ropa, vehículos de lujo? porque también hay que ir acompañado de un vehiculo de lujo, no solo sirve el cuerpo. Hay que plantearse que esto es todo un gasto, cuanto más gasta más metrosexual eres, y en gran parte la culpa es de la sociedad como he puesto en las primeras líneas. ¿Nosotros podríamos hacer algo para solucionarlo desde nuestro ámbito profesional?
Es verdad que esto supone un cambio social muy fuerte, un cambio del varón masculino, fuerte, tosco, hacia un hombre que trabaja su mente y su cuerpo. Se sienten bien cuidandose.
Esto está muy infuenciado por los estereotipos masculinos que salen en televisión. Yo pienso que ser metrosexual no es nada malo siempre que no te excedas de tus posibilidades.
Es muy frecuente asociar metrosexual con gay y, evidentemente, no tiene nada que ver una cosa con la otra. Personalmente continuo destacando la frase: "la belleza está en el interior" tanto para hombres como para mujeres.

Personalmente, considero que soy una persona que gasta bastante dinero en algunos caprichos que muchos podrían considerar innecesarios, aunque también son igual de respetables que los de los demás.
En cuanto a la ropa no suelo gastar mucho dinero, sin embargo, suelo ahorrar en este sentido para gastármelo en comidas y algún que otro capricho en forma de material tecnológico avanzado.
Evidentemente, considero que una sociedad excesivamente consumista puede llevar a que muchas familias tengan problemas económicos y esto, no es nada recomendable.
A pesar de esto, pienso que un consumismo controlado de vez en cuando, sin llegar a posiciones extremas, no creo que esté mal, es más, opino que en esta vida en la que los problemas nos persiguen, darse un pequeño homenaje de vez en cuando puede ser positivo.

La palabra "metrosexual" fue inventada en Inglaterra por Mark Simpson en 1994. Define al "nuevo hombre" del siglo XXI. Básicamente este nuevo varón que le gusta vestirse con ropa ruidosa, se pinta las uñas, se cuida la piel, usa cremas, se pinta el pelo. Puede ser homosexual, heterosexual o bisexual. Eso no interesa. Lo que interesa es que la persona se "gusta" a sí mismo y lo importante es que no tiene miedo en hacerlo saber. En general se pasan mucho tiempo delante del espejo.
Creo que cada vez aumenta más el número de gente que opta por esta moda, aumque creo que hay cosas más importantes que mirarse el ombligo todo el santo dia.

Jo pense que la metrosexualitat és una nova moda creada des de distints àmbits de la societat que impulsa als homes a consumir materials que abans era impensable que un home comprara, per exemple cremes, maquillatge, anar a depilar-se...
Però és la societat la que dona peu a aquest consumisme, ja que abans el 90% de la població masculina treballava al sector agrari. Açò comportava llargues jornades de treball i gran treball i esgotament físic, entre altres. Per això mateix, els homes arribaven cansats a casa i l'únic que volien era descansar, tampoc tenien molt de temps lliure, ni diners de sobra per a gastar en capritxos. En canvi, els homes d'ara estudien i tenen treballs menys físics i més psíquics, amb una jornada laboral de 8 hores, temps lliure per a decicar-lo a ells mateix i més diners extra. Tot açò comporta un nou tipus d'home dins de la societat. Al no treballar amb el cos, el tenen que cuidar, per a sentir-se bé en ells mateixos i per agradar als demés, per açò van al gimnàs, a la perruqueria, a l'esteticien, en fi es cuiden molt més, inclòs més que algunes dones.
Gran culpa d'aquesta voragine consumista la tenen les empreses, els mitjos de comunicació, els sectors econòmics que s'interessen pel que fa la gent i presenten productes miracles per a millorar l'aparença de la gent.
En fi, mentre el poble estiga ocupat en tonteries d'estes, no té temps de pensar en el que realment passa a la societat, i açò pot interessar en certa manera als polítics.
Hola: Primero, permítanme felicitarlos por su blog, en especial, por la participación que evidentemente hay en él de parte de sus lectores; segundo, mi opinión sobre el metrosexualismo, o mas bien sobre los metrosexuales, es que: las personas que se asumen como tales, espero, tengan otras preocupaciones y tengan otros propósitos para sus cuantiosas inversiones aparte de pensar tanto en cómo se ven y lo que tienen que comprar y consumir para seguir viéndose así, porque si sólo les preocupa eso, si todo lo que pueden dar de sí al mundo que les rodea es pensar en ellos y en su imagen, pues que vacío debe caracterizar su fuero interno como para no darse cuenta que esa es una actitud egoísta, e influenciada además desde fuera, por todo lo que los medios masivos de comunicación, las grandes compañias y la sociedad en general les dicta. La imagen es, innegablemente, importante en el ámbito social, pero no creo que sea lo único importante, menos si el criterio para elegir y concebir lo que es importante y lo que no lo es viene de la publicidad, de los comerciales de MTV o de los programitas holliwoodences que nos apantallan con la vida de las estrellas del primer mundo o de los millonarios. Para mi la metrosexualidad es algo que no todas las personas pueden permitirse. Bajo mi punto de vista ser metrosexual es ser un tio ligado a la moda, llevando siempre la ropa a la última moda y siempre bien vestido, pelo echo, cuerpo depilado, etc.
También se introduce en la moda metrosexual el estar fuerte.
Como ya hemos leido en otros comentarios el metrosexual es un hombre que se preocupa por su imágne y se caracteriza por gastar gastos cosméticos y ropa de úlitma mode y cara.
Lo malo de todo esto es que cada vez hay más metrosexuales y se está creando un prototipo de hombre cada vez más frecuente y desde edades más tempranas los niños ya se van haciendo metrosexuales.
Por último quiero aclarar que cada uno es libre de ser metrosexual o lo que quiera. Aunque pienso que se hace metrosexuales para cubrir otros aspectos de su personalidad que no le gustan.

estoy totalmente de acuerdo con el video en que la metrosexualidad viene dada por la imagen que se vende en los medios de comunicación. Mi opinion a cerca de ella es indiferente,puesto que creo que cada uno debe cuidar su imagen más o menos en la manera que uno quiera y pueda estar a la moda, aunque creo que desde nuestro campo profesional le podemos sacar partido. Si antes se llevaban los hombres machotes con mucho pelo ahora es al contrario...todo son modas y cada cual que haga lo que quiera con su vida.

El típico metrosexual es un joven con dinero para gastar, que vive en las metrópolis, donde están las mejores tiendas, clubs, gimnasios y las mejores peluquerías. Estas personas, modelan su cuerpo, algunos trabajan en los medios y las productoras o en la música pop y, ahora, también en los deportes, pero aman los productos de vanidad masculina…El hombre metrosexual, en ocasiones, suele ser una persona culta y refinada, con buen gusto, aficionada al arte y a los viajes.
Parece que este de moda que, el hombre deba saber mostrar su lado femenino, cuidar su físico, conocer las últimas tendencias de la moda, realizar actividades clásicamente femeninas como cocinar, decorar o cuidar el jardín.
Por ultimo me gustaría comentar, que mientras no se llegue a los extremos, no presentara ningún problema tanto para uno mismo, como para la sociedad.

La metrosexualidad es una vertiente o un hacer que ha surgido en los últimos años, debido a la necesidad actual e los hombres a sentirse mejor consigo mismo utilizando todo tipo de trucos ya bien sea depilaciones, cremas y demás.
La actual tendencia se escapa de muchas de las definiciones que corren por la web, “la del hombre la metrópoli, ya que es donde están las mejores tiendas y mejores gimnasios”
Mi opinión es que mientras uno pueda, y no dañe ni a la salud propia ni a los demás debe hacer todas aquellas cosas que estén a su alcance para sentirse mejor, ya que estamos hoy en día en una sociedad tolerante, que ya no se extraña de nada y que respeta a cada uno como es, independiente de sus gustos, de su apariencia y de su forma de ser, pensar y actuar.
Hui en dia l´aspecte físic té una gran importància, tant per als homes com per a les dones, fet que disminueix clarament les diferències entre els homes metrosexuals i els que diuen que no ho són, estic convençut de que molts dels que parlen ací, es tinten el monyo, es posen cremes hidratants, es depilen les cames, el tronc, o les esquenes, treballen el seu cos anant al gimnas practicament tots els dies de la setmana,...i segurament no es consideren metrosexuals.
A les persones els agrada sentirse bé amb ells mateixos, i agradar als demés, cada vegada ens importa més sentir-se´n guapos, com els passava a les dones, que al meu veure, també segueixen una evolució imparable cada cop més obsesionades en l´aparença física.
Gran part dela culpa es de la societat en la que vivim, on es premien aquestos rols, és el que s´admira i allò que es persegeueix.
En mi opinión el concepto de metrosexualidad va dirigida a los hombres del siglo XXI que cuidan su aspecto físico, es un concepto con el que se encasilla a estas personas y pienso que no deberia ser así, ya que a las mujeres que lo hacen de igual manera que los hombres no se les a puesto ningun nombre, creo que es normal que las personas se cuiden y presenten un buen specto en la sociedad actual, ya que para tener un buen trabajo o ir a cenar a un buen sitio, en general para cuaquier cosa hay que tener buen aspecto si no la gente te mira mal o no te da las mismas posibilidades que alos demás.
Personalmente no me gusta el termino de metrosexualidad ya que encasila a la persona pero si me gusta todo lo que ete conlleva, el de cuidar el aspecto fisico, y n creo que hayan dos clases de metrosexualeya que hay personas que tienen mucho dinero y van a veces peor vestidas que persons que disponen de una economia normal, solo pienso que hay personas tanto del sexo masulino como femenino que se uidan y eso es bueno para ellos.
La belleza es abstracta, por consiguiente la belleza que existe en nuestras cabezas viene de algún lugar... psycologically es un conjunto de particularidades que definen como nos tenemos q ver ante la sociedad.
Ahora me pregunto... la gente inteligente de este mundo nos manipulan a movernos donde ellos quieren o somos nosotros los q movemos las nuevas culturas.
Si mañana se definiera metrosexual como fuera de moda y supersexual (x ejemplo) es lo nuevo donde el hombre acepta que no es superior a la mujer pero igual q ella... entonces mañana veríamos un hombre descortez pero no porque lo hace a propósito sino q espera q la mujer le abra la puerta como el la abierto anteriormente a una dama.
Mi opinión de metrosexual es una característica de supervivencia donde trata de conseguir una pareja o llamar la atención o pertenecer a un grupo. Si no hubiese mujer q le gustase las características metrosexual entonces ningún hombre lo haría. Y quien le dijo a la mujer q le tiene que gustar las características metrosexuales? el MERCADEO de producto o servicio q manipula la psycologia de las mujeres.
Es cierto....todo es cuestión de las modas del momento...por ahí existe ahora otro término...el tecnosexual...
Sería bueno iniciar un debate también sobre los tecnosexuales...

En mi opinión la tendencia actual de la metrosexualidad cada vez se acerca más hacia la feminidad, o por lo menos eso me parece: depilación corporal, cejas, uso de todo tipo de maquillajes y productos cosméticos... Todo esto asociado históricamente como elementos propios de la mujer.
En lo que al cuerpo se refiere, la exageración es la tónica, algunos chicos parecen auténticos gorilas: brazos exageradamente hipertrofiados asociados a piernas flacas y viceversa.
Por supuesto que todas estas actuaciones son respetables, cada uno tiene sus gustos y hace con su cuerpo y con su tiempo lo que le parece, pero si hablamos de belleza, a mi esto no me lo parece. Belleza es salud y bienestar psicológico, y de forma natural, para que haya belleza debe haber equilibrio, y, en estos cuerpos actuales, exageradamente musculados no existe el equilibrio.
En cuanto a los cuidados faciales y dermatológicos, me parece bien que rompamos con el hecho de que es cosa de mujeres; está claro que los hombres debemos cuidarnos, especialmente por salud, higiene y por sentirnos bien con nuestra estética. Pero sigo pensando que no debemos ser físicamente femeninos, para ser atractivos debemos mantener nuestros rasgos naturalmente característicos y masculinos. Y no estoy en contra de la depilación, pero, seamos moderados. No me parece bello un chico con las cejas delgadas como un hilo.
Por último me gustaría comentar que sobre todo es necesario el respeto mutuo, ya que últimamente parece que se respeta menos a quien no dedica tanto tiempo a la estética, como si fuera un bicho feo, antiguo, raro y sin atractivo.
Cada uno valora la estética como quiere, para mí no es nada importante la imagen de belleza que puedas ir paseando por la calle, ni por supuesto lo que piense la gente de tu imagen externa.

Ser metrosexual para un hombre significa cuidar en general su forma de vida.
Todo esto es una novedad puesto que no es tan comun ver como un hombre se cuida de esa forma, pero en la actualidad ser metrosexual esta a la orden del dia.
Ser metrosexual implica cuidar su cuerpo, su imagen, tanto a nivel de estilismo(ropa), como a nivel fisico, en general calidad de vida. No es tan comun ver a un hombre que se comporte de esa forma, que se cuide tanto, por eso que llame la atencion de esta forma.
A nivel personal decir que a todos nos gusta ir arreglado y cuidarnos,no solo es para las mujeres, pero la palabra metrosexual va relacionada con un alto nivel economico, un estatus al que todos no podemos llegar.

Término asociado a la imagen y a la lucha del hombre por destacar. Es sin duda un fenómeno social que las grandes firmas comerciales han inflado de manera sobrenatural para hacer negocio. El problema es la ambigüedad del término. ¿Quién es o no metro sexual? Cierto es que solemos asociar ciertas conductas a este fenómeno, muchos chicos se depilan, se ponen crema, o cuidan su imagen, no creo que haya nada malo en eso.
La necesidad de cuidar la imagen es en parte creada por la competencia de la sociedad, competencia para encontrar un trabajo, convencer, incluso para encontrar pareja. El problema en mi opinión de estas nuevas tendencias es llevar estos comportamientos a extremos que rozan la enfermedad. Obsesionarse con la perfección es muy peligroso y casi siempre hay demasiado por perder.
En todo esto, la sociedad tiene una responsabilidad ya que no podemos exigir nada a aquellas empresas que viven de esto pues en los negocios, parece que todo vale. Yo soy partidario de arreglarse, ir siempre impoluto, aseado, e intentar dejar una buena imagen porque es una asignatura más de la vida, la presencia, pero debemos tener cuidado con la delgada línea que separa estas tendencias sociales de las enfermedades (trastornos de la alimentación, ansiedad, depresión,…) por ello no debemos hacer que todo gire en torno a la imagen, tengamos presente que es algo importante pero para nada lo es todo.

Buenas noches, mi opinión sobre este tema es que la metrosexualidad es una forma de incitar al consumismo en los varones. Por ejemplo en los medios de comunicación y gracias a los infalibles mecanismos publicitarios de la sociedad de consumo nos están vendiendo la imagen del hombre que se cuida, como por ejemplo anuncios en los que aparece Beckham, para que se produzca un mayor consumo de diferentes artículos. Por lo tanto pienso que es una forma de consumir cosas que no nos hacen falta, es decir, un truco comercial más. La metrosexualidad es un producto en venta.
El típico metrosexual es un joven consumista, marquista, con dinero para gastar, que vive en las metrópolis siguiendo las tendencias de la moda en todos los símbolos del consumismo: indumentaria, alimentación, actividades de tiempo libre, detallado cuidado estético y una visión del mundo que empieza y termina en sí mismo.
También pienso que un varón puede ser elegante sin ser metrosexual, ya que hombres elegantes ha habido toda la vida, los metrosexuales son los que buscan tendencias, modas las cuales al poco tiempo pasan, lo que le hace que consuma mucho más de lo necesario.

El hombre no es ajeno al continuo bombardeo mediático de la cultura de la imagen, ni mucho menos. Principalmente en el caso de las más jóvenes generaciones de varones adultos, los cuales tienen el esmero de seleccionar qué imagen quieren proyectar y obran en consecuencia.
Así, la imagen aparentemente –insisto- descuidada, no es más que una pose bajo la cual subyace todo una intención de parecer desaliñado. Pero esa no es más que una de las múltiples formas o figuras de las que se nutren los hombres a la hora de querer proyectar una imagen. Los hombres, por tanto, también cuidan su apariencia, lo cual no viene a traducirse en una mayor elegancia, en general, del género.
Históricamente el hombre ha tenido su inclinación hacia el cuidado de su imagen. Desde tiempos inmemoriales así ha sido, desde el Imperio Egipcio hasta el dandismo dieciochesco. Por tanto ese mito de que el hombre es descuidado es algo más reciente, seguramente nacido en la era industrial, con el surgimiento de las clases medias.
En contraposición con el inexistente mito comentado, nace un nuevo “movimiento” tendente a corregir esa situación. Se trata de lo que se denomina “metrosexualidad”, definida algo así como la tendencia de los hombres por el cuidado de su aspecto sin incurrir en el afeminamiento.
En el fondo este término no es más que un truco comercial más. Pero peligroso. Porque lo que quiere establecer es que existe un nuevo modelo de elegancia masculina, la de los hombres que rinden culto a su cuerpo. Y es que la metrosexualidad no pasa de ahí. No va más allá de la apología del recipiente y de la búsqueda de los últimos inventos de la moda que más muestra ese culto al cuerpo. La elegancia no tiene absolutamente nada que ver con la metrosexualidad y no hay más que ver a sus iconos. La gran masa de la metrosexualidad mediática la forman futbolistas y actores de medio pelo.
Este “invento” posmoderno es una moda pasajera que atormenta los tiernos cerebros de muchos veinteañeros –y treintañeros, qué vergüenza-, pero engorda las arcas de las compañías de cosméticos, los gimnasios y las revistas del género, de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme. No es sino otro negocio nacido de la puesta en marcha de nuevas líneas de productos exclusivamente para personas que necesitan llenar su vida con la ilusión de parecerse a un tipo que aparece casi a diario en televisión.
El hombre elegante siempre ha cuidado su imagen, por supuesto, pero no ha centrado su vida en tener una imagen determinada y mucho menos en imitar a un ídolo de masas. El cuidado de la imagen puede ser síntoma de una mayor o menor coquetería, de una forma de establecer una determinada individualidad por medio de la vestimenta, nunca el punto de referencia de la elegancia, sino un valor añadido de una actitud hacia la vida.
En mi opinión la metrosexualidad es un concepto que se ha puesto de moda en los últimos años. En el momento que la sociedad empieza a dar más importancia a la imagen, el hombre ha decidido no quedarse atrás. Desde mi punto de vista las mujeres siempre han estado pendientes en mayor medida de este culto a la imagen; siempre han llevado consigo el maquillaje, la manicura y demás características identificadoras de ese cuidado corporal. La cuestión es que para el sexo femenino esto resulta normal y habitual. También es cierto que ocurre al igual que con los hombres; no todas las mujeres gastan lo mismo en estos productos ni todas cuidan la imagen en la misma medida. Pero la prueba evidente de que en las mujeres es una práctica más habitual, la podemos observar en las operaciones de cirugía estética, donde encontrarse a hombres, a pesar de que hoy en día ya es más habitual, es más complicado que encontrarse a mujeres.
Lo primero que hay que distinguir y saber donde está la barrera son dos conceptos separados por una línea muy fina. Es decir, una cosa es ser más o menos presumido y preocuparse por el aspecto físico en general y otra es llevar a cabo esta preocupación hasta límites en los que gastarse grandes cantidades de dinero en ropa, cosméticos y demás productos no importa.
En mi opinión, cada uno es libre de gastarse su dinero como quiera, pero personalmente creo que dentro de la libertad de elegir, deben existir unas prioridades más o menos comunes a todo el mundo. Ya que si estas personas son capaces de llegar a descuidar todo aquello que les rodea y únicamente piensan en ellos mismo y su imagen, va a llegar un punto en que se van a quedar muy vacíos por dentro aunque estén muy “llenos” por fuera.
